New BBC Sport App Brings You 360-Degree Video from Rio 2016 (+Video)

The BBC's new experimental video app will offer live and on-demand Olympics coverage to viewers with a headset

The BBC has launched an experimental Sports app that promises to provide 360-degree coverage of the upcoming Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The new app, available from today for iOS and Android devices, will also include fully-immersive video of the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as a whole host of the live events - like athletics, boxing and more. On-demand replays of these will then be available.
That doesn't mean, however, that you can just pick any old listing and expect to see it in 360-degrees as only certain events – there will be at least one from each day's schedule though ...
