BitTorrent Will Reportedly Launch a TV News Channel on Its Streaming Service

BitTorrent may launch its own TV news network, Variety reports, to run alongside the channels already available on its recently launched BitTorrent Live streaming platform. The publication cites a job listing posted by the company for a news director. The director would hire and manage a team of journalists working out of BitTorrent's San Francisco office, and develop a network of international contributors. "BitTorrent has recently launched a live video streaming platform," the ad reads. "Now we need a team to create a tent-pole live news channel to run on it."
