While the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift are more of gaming-centric devices, the Microsoft Hololens is used in various forms and for various organizations. From NASA to Volvo, each company has been using it for some use or the other.
The Hololens projects holograms on the environment around a user while the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive project images in front of the users eye in a screen in a 360 degree setting.
The Oculus Rift is priced in at $599, the HTC Vive at $799, while the Microsoft Hololens is priced way more, standing in at a price of $3000, that too, for the developer’s edition. [...]
