Walter Isaacson. He has been the chairman and CEO of Cable News Network (CNN) and the Managing Editor of Time. He has written biographies of Steve Jobs, Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, and Henry Kissinger. He is the President and CEO of the Aspen Institute. Source: http://www.bayoubuzz.com/politics/us-congress/item/998869-isaacson-passes-on-librarian-of-congress-post and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Isaacson
Isaacson, CEO of the Aspen Institute in Washington, was perhaps the highest-profile name circulating as a possible replacement for James Billington, who plans to retire from the Library of Congress after 28 years at the helm.
