Postal Service May Soon Email You Copies of Your Mail: You Interested?

That may be the theory behind a new U.S. Postal Service project called "Informed Delivery," which will allow customers to receive an email of their traditional paper mail. The initiative comes after years of declining revenue as more people move to digital communication and online bill pay.
Informed Delivery is already in place in northern Virginia and will expand to New York and some parts of Connecticut this fall. USPS said it plans on expanding the service to other areas in 2016.
