Germany Wins World Cup of Robot Football - on Penalties (+ Video)

As the old adage goes, football is a simple game; 22 men kick a ball about for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans win on penalties.
But it appears the saying goes even when the game is being played by a team of miniature robots. A team from the University of Bremen in north Germany has won the annual world cup of robot football after emerging victorious in a penalty shootout against a team from the US.
