Google Gets More Searches From Mobile Phones

Google Is Now Getting More Searches From Mobile Phones Than Computers

Janko Roettgers | October 8. 2015

Consumers are now using mobile phones more often to search Google than desktop PCs, the company’s SVP Amit Singhal revealed at Recode’s Code/Mobile conference Thursday.
“We are getting over 100 billion searches every month,” Singhal said. Mobile overtook the desktop as the number one source of traffic this summer, he said. Google defines mobile traffic as any search request coming from a device with a screen size of six inches or smaller, he explained, adding that tablets are in a separate category of its own.
