Mahabir Pun has brought internet access to parts of the Annapurna region in Nepal that can only be reached by several days of travel on foot. Despite the internet being something that the first world largely takes for granted, according to the filmmaker, this change has vastly improved “the region’s standard of health, education and prosperity.”
