Library Giant ProQuest Acquires Ex Libris to Speed Up Archive Searches

ProQuest has acquired Jerusalem-based Ex Libris, which makes cloud-based products to support student engagement and libraries at higher education institutions. ProQuest, a huge archive and provider of information services to researchers, plans to use Ex Libris's technology to support its existing initiatives. Ex Libris claims roughly 5,600 customers in 90 countries. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
